🚨 Mohamed Salah on his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season:
Salah🗣️ “It was a difficult decision, but I have completed English football. I have won every trophy possible. The only thing I will truly miss is my annual kickabout at Old Trafford. It has been my favorite training pitch for seven years. I actually considered buying the stadium as a vacation home, but I do not want to be responsible for fixing the leaking roof.”
“Journalists ask me if I will miss the intensity of the Premier League title races. Honestly, no. You look around and standards have dropped. You have Arsenal players taking selfies and doing laps of honor because they managed a 0-0 draw in March, and then they release a documentary about ‘trusting the process’ after finishing second again.”
“I came as an Egyptian King, and I leave knowing I have seen more Champions League finals during my time here than Arsenal has seen in their entire history. I need to go to a league where coming in second is actually considered a failure, not an excuse to hire a photographer.”
In the last few days, my sons’ cousins, Shahrez & Shershah (Aleema Khan’s sons), have been abducted from their homes in front of their young children & held in prison.
Their other cousin Hassan Niazi, has been held in a military prison for over a year.
The government has also threatened my sons Sulaiman and @Kasim_Khan_1999 with arrest if they travel to Pakistan to visit their father.
No state should be allowed to target families to settle political scores.
"Imran Khan’s face cannot be shown on the media. He is undergoing a closed-door jail trial. There are human rights abuses, censorship of social media, and when people protest, they are shot."
Pakistan’s former President @ArifAlvi is in the United States, engaging with lawmakers and the media, making Americans aware of the fascism in Pakistan and how the entire justice system has been weaponized against Imran Khan.

"The Al-Qadir Trust case is regarding a university that is currently educating more than 300 students. It is a non-profit organization, and neither Imran Khan nor his wife receive any benefits from it. Students are studying for free. In most countries, establishing a university that provides education would be rewarded. However, under the current regime and due to the establishment's influence over lower courts, Imran Khan and his wife have unfortunately been given a jail sentence." @sayedzbukhari speaks about the ridiculous verdict given in the Al Qadir Trust Case, which has exposed the compromised judicial system under a military-backed fascist regime in Pakistan.

Nazir Afzal: "It's really dangerous simply focusing on the brown guys... b/c you're telling victims to be aware of the brown guy, when you're 30 times more likely to be abused by a white man than a brown man, & that's dangerous..."

"Imran Khan is facing around 280 fabricated cases over the past 2.5 years. It is ridiculous; no one takes the legal and policing systems seriously anymore. They have turned the judicial system into a joke." says Aleema Khan while speaking with Mehdi Hassan on Zeteo @mehdirhasan@Aleema_KhanPK https://t.co/ecNoLlKgfL

The man on the container, who was pushed by the Rangers and presumed dead, was later found to be alive and receiving treatment in a hospital. Upon discovering this, the state abducted him, along with his father and other family members. He was eventually handed over to the KP government. There is an impression that the firing was intended to disperse the crowd, but eyewitnesses claim that the crowd had already begun to fall back when the operation started. In reality, the operation was meant to instill fear, sending a message to protesters, who were using their democratic right, never to come out to protest again." @MoeedNj while speaking at the Washington D.C. Press Briefing by Pakistani Diaspora on the #IslamabadMassacre

As Pakistan’s illegitimate, authoritarian military regime muzzles local media and tightens the noose around freedom of speech, independent journalists around the world are telling the story of 240 million Pakistanis who are fighting for democracy, rule of law, human rights and dignity of life!

Senior journalist Hamid Mir exposed the tragic death of Shafiq Khan Lund, a PTI worker from Dera Ghazi Khan, whose body was concealed at PIMS Hospital. Despite clear video evidence, the hospital staff denied his presence, echoing Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's baseless claim that no deaths occurred during the November 26 massacre.
This exposes the regime's propaganda, which adamantly denies that their security forces opened fire and claims there were no deaths. You open fire on innocent unarmed protesters, then shamelessly assert there are no killings, no shootings, and no victims. These facts tell a different story, and the actual scale of this massacre will also be exposed as more evidence surfaces.

Don’t let the misinformation being fed by @TararAttaullah & government mislead you. We are a responsible party so are only claiming that 12 martyrs have been proven by us , international & local media SO FAR! That doesn’t mean @MohsinnaqviC42 and gang haven’t killed far more. This cover up is being exposed daily. This is just the tip of the iceberg and as time will go by more will be revealed. Despite the threats and duress being imposed on media and the families of the deceased & injured. Make no mistake, they lied about the dead , lied about shooting in cold blood. These murderers will be taken to task by the people of Pakistan. #golikyunchalai #Islamabad_Massacre #IslamabadMassacre
Pakistan’s brutal crackdown on protesters is a grave violation of human rights: mass arrests, communication blackouts & alarming reports of unlawful force, including fatalities.
In October, I signed @KimJohnsonMP's letter urging action on @ImranKhanPTI’s detention & repression:
