سوشیل ڈیموکریٹک پارٹی آف انڈیا ملک بھر کے اُن طلبہ اور نوجوانوں کو مبارکباد پیش کرتی ہے جن کی پُرعزم، منظم اور پُرامن جدوجہد کے نتیجے میں مرکزی وزیرِ تعلیم دھرمیندر پردھان کو استعفیٰ دینا پڑا۔ اُن کی ثابت قدم جدوجہد نے بی جے پی حکومت کے غرور اور آمرانہ طرزِ عمل کو شکست دیتے ہوئے ایک بار پھر جمہوریت اور عوامی طاقت کی پائیدار قوت کو ثابت کر دیا ہے۔ وزیر کا استعفیٰ اُن سنگین ناکامیوں کی ذمہ داری قبول کرنے کا ثبوت ہے جنہوں نے کروڑوں طلبہ کے خواب چکنا چور کر دیے۔ یہ بھی ثابت کرتا ہے کہ اقتدار میں بیٹھے لوگ خواہ کتنے ہی طاقتور کیوں نہ ہوں، عوام کی منظم، مسلسل اور جمہوری جدوجہد انہیں جوابدہ بنانے کی صلاحیت رکھتی ہے۔

صرف ایک وزیر کی قربانی دے کر بی جے پی اس ذمہ داری سے نہیں بچ سکتی۔ نیٹ کا بحران انتظامی ناکامی، ادارہ جاتی زوال اور طلبہ کے خدشات کو برسوں تک مسلسل نظر انداز کرنے والی مرکزی حکومت کی پالیسیوں کا نتیجہ ہے۔ طلبہ کو انصاف فراہم کیا جانا چاہیے۔ خودکشی کرنے والے طلبہ کے خاندانوں کو مناسب معاوضہ دیا جانا چاہیے۔ مظاہرین کے خلاف درج تمام مقدمات واپس لیے جانے چاہییں۔ نیٹ اسکینڈل کے ذمہ دار تمام افراد کو قانون کے کٹہرے میں لایا جانا چاہیے۔ ساتھ ہی حکومت کو ایس ڈی پی آئی کے اس دیرینہ مطالبے کو بھی تسلیم کرنا چاہیے کہ نیٹ اور اس نوعیت کے دیگر امتحانی نظام کو ختم کر کے عوامی امتحانی نظام میں جامع اصلاحات نافذ کی جائیں۔

The rule of law applies equally to everyone.
When the police went to serve a notice to @CTRavi_BJP as part of the legal process following the registration of an FIR, allegedly obstructing police officers in the discharge of their duty, tearing up the notice, and preventing them from carrying out their official responsibilities is conduct unbecoming of any elected representative.
In this regard, I urge @ckmpolice to register a suo motu case against MLC C.T. Ravi and those who allegedly participated in obstructing the police, and to take appropriate legal action in accordance with the law.
In a democracy, respect for the rule of law must be the same for everyone. The law cannot be applied one way for ordinary citizens and another way for elected representatives. I urge @DgpKarnataka to ensure appropriate action is taken.

The BJP government's demolition order targeting 38 buildings of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur is a blatant act of political vendetta against Azam Khan.
Destroying an educational institution is not justice—it is an assault on the future of thousands of students, especially those from poor and marginalized communities who depend on this university for higher education.
Education must never become a political battlefield. Differences with individuals cannot justify punishing innocent students.
We strongly demand the immediate withdrawal of this arbitrary demolition order and urge the authorities to safeguard students' fundamental right to education.

ONGC's CSR Funding to RSS Linked Organisations Demands an Explanation

The reported allocation of nearly 671 crore in ONGC's Corporate Social Responsibility funds to 20 organisations linked to the RSS raises serious questions about the impartiality and transparency of public sector institutions. When a significant share of a public sector undertaking's CSR budget is channelled to organisations associated with a particular ideological network, it undermines public confidence in the neutrality and fairness of public resource allocation.

The Government and ONGC must explain the criteria adopted for selecting these organisations as beneficiaries. Why were such substantial public resources concentrated among organisations affiliated with the RSS, an organisation that itself is not registered as a legal entity, instead of being distributed through a transparent and equitable process among all eligible institutions? Given the long history of communal controversies involving elements of the wider Sangh Parivar, these allocations warrant an independent inquiry and complete public disclosure to ensure that public sector CSR funds are administered without ideological preference.

The Social Democratic Party of India emerged from a series of discussions and consultations held across different parts of the country during 2007–2008, with the objective of empowering the marginalized and historically deprived sections of Indian society. Adv. Sajid Hussain Siddiqui was one of the towering personalities who stood with the party from its very inception and remained at the forefront of this journey.

A native of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, he pursued a career in law and practiced at the High Court after completing his legal education. He always took immense pride in having been part of the legal efforts to secure justice for the victims of the infamous Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

Having realized through experience that standing with this party would never be an easy path, he nevertheless continued to dedicate himself to its cause with remarkable enthusiasm, even in the later years of his life. He served the party with distinction as the State President of Madhya Pradesh and later as National Vice President, besides holding several other responsibilities. Travelling across the country, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to strengthening the party and considered it his life's mission.

Even when confronted with challenges and trials from every direction, he remained steadfast, confident, and ever smiling. Today, he has departed from this world, leaving behind a life adorned with noble deeds written into the pages of a great legacy.

May the inspiration and strength imparted by him and other pioneers continue to guide us on our journey. May our actions, our principles, and our commitment always remain worthy and acceptable. #SDPI
