Meer Faisal has received a legal notice from Siwan Cyber Police under the IT Act over his reporting on the alleged mob lynching of 25-year-old Shahzad Ali in Bihar's Shivrajpur village on May 30. Police have termed his report "misleading" and "factless."
According to Shahzad's family, he was dragged from his home, tied to a tree, and beaten to death. An FIR names eight accused, including Avadh Kishore Chaudhary alias Sanjeev Siwani. So far, only one arrest has been made, while several accused remain absconding.
Responding to the notice,
Meer wrote on X: Siwan Police has sent a legal notice claiming my report on Shahzad Ali's killing is "misleading." Yet the main accused, Avadh Kishore Chaudhary alias Sanjeev Siwani, has still not been arrested. A young man is dead. His family is demanding justice. One arrest has been made, while key accused remain absconding. Journalism is not a crime. Reporting on a case of public interest is not misinformation.
The priority should be ensuring a fair investigation and bringing all accused to justice, not intimidating those raising questions.

Having completed my Hajj, I thank Minister @KirenRijiju and his @RijijuOffice for the excellent arrangements for Indian pilgrims this year. Accommodating over 1.7 million pilgrims from across the globe is no small feat. Kudos to the Saudi Govt and @CGIJeddah Mr. Fahad Suri for making this a grand success. May Allah reward you all.
A Class 12 student, Sarthak Siddhanth, has triggered a major controversy after publicly presenting his findings on alleged discrepancies in tender documents linked to the CBSE’s OSM (On-Screen Marking) system.
In a detailed comparison of Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, he claims that several key accountability clauses—such as disqualification rules for poor performance and stricter blacklisting criteria—were modified or removed in later versions of the tender process.
His investigation, conducted over six days, has drawn widespread attention online and raised questions around transparency, procurement practices, and oversight in government examination systems.
The claims have added fuel to an already heated debate around digital evaluation systems and vendor accountability in India’s examination infrastructure managed by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

📍 Cuttack, Odisha
Maulana Abdur Rahman Katki, arrested in December 2015 on al-Qaeda links and sedition charges, has been acquitted by a Cuttack court after the prosecution failed to produce credible evidence... raising sharp questions about accountability for those who robbed an innocent man of over a decade of his life.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind chief Maulana Arshad Madani condemned the case, saying the verdict once again exposes how Muslims are being framed in false terror cases without solid evidence, their lives destroyed in the process.
