We’ve responded to this matter several times, but I think it’s time to formally answer the question: “Why can other companies/manu offer cheaper logistics services, but Wooacry can’t?”
If I had to sum it up in one sentence, I’d say, “We’re a small.”
It’s true that we seem to have a lot of supporters and have built some reputation online, but we’re just a small team that’s been around for a little over two years. In 2024, the team consisted of only four people, and after this writer (me) joined, we stayed as a team of five for a really long time.
At that time, we had very few cards to play: one piece order with the automated production system, an online editor, and good sources for raw materials——and almost nothing else *sigh
No investors believed we could succeed, most dismissed us as “yet another failed startup.” Even back then, we struggled to find workers willing to join us—people generally believed that working for a large company offered more stability, which is certainly true.
In the second half of 2024, we began to gain some attention on social media, and some artists were willing to accept free samples in exchange for recommending us (for which we are deeply grateful).
At that point, the first orders we received were from the US, and we used this as an opportunity to begin initial negotiations with several logistics companies. In the very beginning, we were essentially subsidizing the costs ourselves; otherwise, our shipping rates would have been completely uncompetitive in the market, and we would have been immediately eliminated. Only when the logistics companies were willing to make concessions were we able to secure rates that matched those listed on our website.
Fast forward to two years later: even though our name is often mentioned alongside those of major companies, we’ve continued to expand our team, and have also hired workers(This is why we now offer plush products, these items cannot be produced automatically and must be made by hand.)
Even now, there are people willing to invest in new systems, new machinery, and new products for us, and our team is actively playing our most important card—“respecting artists and listening to their ideas”—which has led to the development of many projects. But on the international stage? We’re still new and small. We still face rejection every day for this very reason—rejected by payment software, rejected by logistics companies, and rejected by potential partners.
As mentioned in the replies to this post, some large companies have lower shipping rates to certain regions—we are well aware of this, and the shipping companies know that we know.
I’ve seen our logistics team argue fiercely with shipping companies countless times over price differences of just a few cents, and I’ve also seen them rush to negotiate rates whenever orders from a little region suddenly spike. Trust us: as a company with limited cards, even from a financial standpoint, it would be impossible for us to intentionally charge higher rates in certain regions. Every price listed on our website has been negotiated with the logistics companies.
Logistics companies say things like, “You’re a small company, and you don’t even have orders in somewhere to begin with. When was the last time you have order there? Half a year ago! So this is the only rate I’ll give you.”
That's the crue truth, but we have to keep fight for it, for us, and for artists.
We believe that as long as we continue to seize opportunities, gradually gain a voice in the business world, finally will serve more people—this has always been our vision.
In fact, we’ve already secured tax-free and ocean freight services for some regions, and our team’s next priority is indeed logistics. To that end, we’ve expanded our logistics team and are gearing up to conduct even better negotiations this summer.
