At least nine people were killed by suspected Kuki militants on Wednesday at Khamenkhok area, Imphal East district. Their bodies were deposited at JNIMS mortuary.

They were identified as -
1) Haobijam Somenkumar from Pangei Waiton Leikai.
2) Moirangthem Heman from Okshu
3) Konjengbam Shankar from Itum Nungoi Awang Leikai
4) Telem Thoithoi from Leimakol Mapal
5) Laishram Naothoibi from Kongpal Ningthoubung Leikai
6) RK Prasanta from Kongpal Ningthoubung Leikai
7) Unknown
8)Yumnam Surjitkumar from Ningthemcja
9) Laishram Suresh from Ningthemcha.

And, 10 people were injured in the incident. They were under observation at Raj Medicity Hospital, Imphal.
