His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s third sermon was focused upon the merit of discipline, which he arrived at through its association to the planet of Saturn, described by astrologists as the Taskmaster because it emphasises taking ownership of one’s duties and actions.

In the second sermon of Ashara Mubaraka 1447H in Chennai, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, continuing this year’s theme of cosmic exploration, elaborated upon the 12 zodiac signs or constellations.

Delivering the first sermon of Ashara Mubaraka 1447 (2025) at Saifee Masjid, Chennai, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin announced that this year’s sermons will explore the universe, the planetary orbits, its celestial bodies, & ultimately —on the final day— the planet earth.

His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrived in Chennai by train from Mumbai on 23rd June. He was warmly received at the Perambur Railway Station by government officials, along with senior members of the Dawoodi Bohra community in #Chennai.

Syedna Saifuddin is in the city for Ashara Mubaraka, the annual Moharram congregation, at the invitation of the local Dawoodi Bohra community.

The visit is further distinguished by a special invitation extended by Thiru P.K. Sekar Babu, Minister for Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments, Tamil Nadu, as well as Chairman of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), & by Thiru Dayanidhi Maran, Member of Parliament & Deputy Leader of the DMK in the Lok Sabha.
