Finally, we’re here.

I’m not usually one to write long stories, but I think this moment deserves a few words.

I was just a girl with a big dream, in a place where you can’t even dare to dream at all. I knew I wanted this, but I had no idea how much it would demand from me.
Many years of multiple rejections and hard work later, here we are.

This journey was tough. Exhausting. Humbling!
Beautiful in ways I never expected. There were moments of excitement and moments of pure anxiety. Moments when I felt capable of anything, and others when I questioned whether I had what it took to keep going.
But somehow, I did. And here we are.

My mother, the one who ran so I could fly. This moment is yours too💜
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to dream this big. Thank you for every sacrifice, every prayer, every word of encouragement, and for standing so solidly behind me through every single step. You believed in me long before I had anything to prove. I hope you know that every bit of this means as much to me because of you.

Today, what started as a dream has finally become a reality.

Today is my 49th birthday. 🎂❤️

I type this from the hospital lobby, waiting for the doors to open so I can go feed my Dad breakfast. 😂

Not exactly how I planned to spend my birthday. My eyes are tired for lack of adequate sleep, but I am most grateful for life, health and vitality.

At 32, I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy by a cardiologist. He told me my heart had been severely damaged by the heart disease I developed during a pregnancy complicated by preeclampsia.

He told me I wouldn't live to see 40.

Today, I am 49. 🙏🏽

That journey through heart disease built my faith in God.

It also led me to discover my purpose and birth my business, Fit Nutrition.

Through that journey, I've had the privilege of helping many clients and customers take better care of their bodies and pursue better health.

I went from taking more than 7 tablets every day to taking zero today.

At 49, I have never felt more alive.

My story has taught me that a medical diagnosis does not have to be the end of the story.

God has the final say.

I may not be celebrating this birthday the way I planned, but I am deeply grateful for the many blessings God has given me.

Happy birthday to me. 🥂❤️
