I am so proud of Uganda Ghetto Kids. Getting a Golden Buzzer in Britain’s Got Talent mid-performance and proceeding to complete the audition was beautiful to watch. The background story is even inspiring. Congratulations to this amazing group
At times the things we criticise in others, are also the things we desire. But we don’t know how to process that desire without feeling negative emotions, so we pretend. We pretend what we want is something worth hating. In the hope we won’t feel so bad about not having it…
In reality they wish they could shout from the rooftops about their love. They’d like to share their joy. They want to trust wholeheartedly, love loudly, live freely. But they don’t feel loved or safe enough. And it hurts. So they tell themselves privacy is an active choice.
Obviously, this isn’t true for everyone who chooses privacy, hence the “sometimes”. I’ve just noticed that some people who criticise public relationships do so because they have a lack of faith in their own relationships. But deep down they wish they didn’t.
Sometimes people tell themselves they’re choosing ‘privacy’ to safeguard their relationship, when in reality, they’re choosing privacy because they’re terrified that their partner will one day embarrass them. Their desire for privacy is rooted in fear more than anything else.
