President Cyril Ramaphosa officially opened the state-of-the-art King Nyabela Hospital in Middelburg.

The new 220-bed facility replaces and upgrades the old Middelburg Hospital and will offer a comprehensive range of clinical services, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and High Care.

The hospital also features modern operating theatres, outpatient services, and a 24-hour Accident and Emergency Department. This investment strengthens quality healthcare delivery and improves access to essential health services for communities across the Nkangala District.
