I love you enough to stop asking you to become what I need, and I love myself enough to stop pretending I do not need it. When you’re younger you might think the goal is to hold onto what you love.
I don’t believe I’m hard to love. I believe I’m difficult to love casually. There’s a difference. I ask questions. I pay attention. I value consistency. I want emotional depth, affection, friendship, God, accountability, intimacy + direction. I don’t want somebody who simply enjoys me. I want somebody prepared to participate in what they’re asking to experience. And until then? I’m not sitting around miserable. I have an entire beautiful life to live.
Recently my boundaries were tested and Im happy I didnt negotiate. I just left it at “I don’t like how you make me feel, and if you won’t consider my feelings I will” bc I at the end of the day I really don’t have to put up with a single thing I don’t like, especially repeatedly.
I think people underestimate how much of a luxury it is to genuinely like your normal day. not the holiday, not the birthday, not the reservation. literally thursday
The romance i like can't be asked for because they're things that only happen if it's in the person's character to do it. i could ask, but it will be so inauthentic now that the whole point of it (spontaneity) is ruined
The whole point of living in your nature is that when the outer world comes against you, you can say fuck the world i will be myself anyway. and what can they do to stop you, really? if you become untamed inside, nothing outside can harness you again. they can touch your body but they cant touch the place you move from. and when you accept that, you become like an elemental force, not stoppable, bendable, just moving on its own course, like a river. and people will fear, hate and slander you, but at the end of the day they cannot change what you are
