Your last paragraph seems self-contradictory, as you imply that the sentence you are typing might not ever have existed at all under certain conditions.

@SuperMintyDog @ProfJohnLennox You are saying that everything has to be preserved eternally in order to have existed at all. Proof that it existed? Ok, maybe, but that doesn't negate either that me and my mother hugged, or the emotions felt at that time.

The event existed at the time, and we will remember it for a finite time. That the event and memories of it will be gone for ever at some point does not change those facts
