Someone needs to be 'transferred', the max punishment applicable to any babu in this country.
To be honest, Kashmir has been allowed to run away with narrative while commoners both in the Jammu and Kashmir provinces continue to suffer. On a comparative scale, Ladakh, followed by Jammu and then fringes of Kashmir Valley have suffered the most.

The National Medical Commission’s Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) has withdrawn the Letter of Permission (LoP) granted to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence, Kakryal, Reasi (Jammu & Kashmir), for running the MBBS course with 50 seats for the academic year 2025-26 . The decision, dated 6 January 2026, takes immediate effect and follows severe findings about non-compliance with minimum standards during a surprise inspection. To safeguard the interests of the students already admitted for the Academic Year 2025–26, the State/UT Authorities have been authorised to accommodate such students in other medical institutions within the Union Territory, as supernumerary seats, in accordance with applicable norms: NMC Officials
