Attached is a link to an interesting article. It details the Canadian government's newest efforts to improve the international-student situation, and help protect them from fraudulent acceptance and housing exploitation when studying in Canada.

The housing market in Canada is absolutely insane! The cost of housing has gone up and the amount of houses available have dropped a tremendous amount in the past few years.

In the first lessons of EM203 I learned how much technology has changed the way we learn. Information about anything is much more accessible because the internet makes it easier for individuals to learn and explore. #EM203Robin
#EM203problems@claireb9160 Hi Claire, your concept map looks great! The only thing I would change is the "wheelchair" bubble. I believe that needing a wheelchair or more of a *result* of a chronic condition or injury.
#EM203problems@EM203BParker Hi there, maybe it would be good to add a section for the Bank of Canada in your concept part as an addition to the Financing section?
@EM203SimonaR #EM203problems Hello, in my opinion "lifestyle choices" are different from "psychological factors". Psychological factors are more like feelings like anxiety, safety, or motivation.
@EM203KathyMi Your mentioning of balancing multimedia and mindfulness was a unique (and correct) comment to make on this subject matter. We should continue to see multimedia solely as tools while being mindful of the addictive properties of other forms of media like social media.
@EM203KSrah I've really enjoyed this course as well!! Technology is making education way more interactive and I am grateful that we live in a time where information is so accessible compared to previous generations.
@EM203alexb Hey Alex,
I agree that multitasking may or may not be beneficial. To an extent, we know that learning how to organize different tasks is a good skill, but contrary to others, I believe that our generation are not good at multitasking. We actually are more distracted now.
@EM203Brobi@EM203Lofff I agree! Digital literacy and access to the media in recent years has been argued as an inherent human right. I also like how you mentioned how digital literacy is now necessary to evaluate information, good point.
@EM203Brobi@EM203Mbarry1 Multitasking is a very complex process that our cognition takes on. I believe that although our generation may be better at multitasking, there is concern for shorter attention spans especially in the wake of TikTok.
EM203 has been a very interesting course so far.
Technology and the digitalization of media are aspects of our everyday life that we take for granted. We are certainly thinking, learning, and critically analyzing information differently than generations before us.
