3. I am so grateful to @nadabackovic for the design and to Fremantle Press for making the book of my dreams. I am in awe of the kind words from Brett D’Arcy and Kim Scott.
Here it is. Salt River Road. You can pre-order here: https://t.co/2PRaBnbBzV
Story of the cover and my feelings in comments ❤️@FremantlePress@CityofFremantle
2. The artwork is based on a painting by a Noongar Elder & artist from Albany. As soon as I saw Aunty Glenda Williams’ work, I knew I’d found the cover of my book. The painting is called “Quandongs” & they grow on Salt River Road. I am so grateful to Aunty Glenda ♥️

Making the final edits on #SaltRiverRoad this week up at @KSP_Writers. Feeling surreal and special. It all began here, and so apparently, it ends too ❤️ @FremantlePress
I’m still adjusting to talking about my book, and the win. It was an honour to speak with @Michael27999203 on Fremantle Shipping News podcast. You can hear me say “um” a lot, but also hear more about my backstory, here:

The night is *slowly* starting to feel real. I got to thank my mum on stage. I’ll never forget that moment. She knows me and the book better than anyone. I couldn’t have written SRR or have made it through our own story, without her. @FremantlePress
Big week. Events in Albany and Bunbury. Workshop in Riverton. Two days of school workshops in Bunbury. Radio interviews with Triple M, Twin Cities FM & ABC Radio National. Hosting the @FremantlePress Hungerford Award ceremony last night - congrats to winner @molly_e_schmidt 👏👏
