#engl157 I didn't realize how common grooming of young boys was during the Great Depression! They were alone and vulnerable and completely taken advantage of, totally caught me off guard.

#engl157 Although what happened with Bruce's story line in Fun Home was tragic, I understand Allison's feelings of not really feeling at all. He didn't feel for her so she learned not to feel for him.

#engl157 It was refreshing to see Allison Bechdel feel confident being out as gay at the end of the story. It really was a tragicomic, so it was nice that there was some positive character development!
