In my entire nursing career, which was decades, I prepared lots of deceased patients to go to the mortuary. It includes some documents that must be attached to the body, putting the body in a specific sheet putting documents on the outside of the sheet, securing any medical paraphernalia and calling the mortuary and porters.
I never saw a single one of these deceased patients do any of the following? (See attached)
Nope. Because they were dead. You cannot have a beating heart, a circulation, a functioning neurological system and a functioning respiratory system which is merely paralysed with drugs and an artificially induced coma and still be dead. This was invented so that they can take organs from the living.

They don’t anaesthetise fully you or give you painkillers because that would damage the organs. in the documents it states that the organ is the priority. There’s a lot of money riding on your organ… No they just give you a muscle paralysing agent, the same one that is used on death Row for chemical executions.

Opt out and tell all your friends and family because they will also approach them to reverse your decision. Consider having a power-of-attorney and certainly have it written into a living will.

850 km for a School Lunch?
Does it make any sense to take fresh, healthy lunches made right here in the Karamea community and replace them with meals trucked in from nearly 850 kilometers away?

To get @dbseymour centralised school lunches from Hamilton to Karamea School, a truck has to drive the length of the North Island, cross the Cook Strait, and navigate the winding roads of the West Coast. That is a 850 km trip.
Meanwhile, we have local people in Karamea ready to work, local gardens ready to grow, and local businesses being bypassed by bureaucracy and children who can be part of creating the lunches, Instead of community resilience, we get:

Insane Carbon Footprints: Burning hundreds of litres of diesel for "efficiency."

Drained Local Economy: Money leaving our district to line the pockets of distant corporations.

Cold, Centralized Food: Trading beautiful, home-grown meals for food that’s travelled a thousand kilometres before it reaches a child's desk.

We should be feeding our kids from our own backyard, not from a warehouse in Hamilton. It’s time to stop this bureaucratic madness and bring the "local" back to Karamea.
