Let’s have a conversation about #womanhood! There seems to be a lot of discussion, mostly by [cis, straight, often white] men, about what it means to be a woman. Men seem to be the ones who “know what it means to be a woman” - like periods and babies.

It’s wild watching conservatives attack @elimcgowan, a straight white conservative dude, because he’s calling out racism, white supremacy, naziism and Christian nationalism. Their attacks are so telling. I’ve known Eli since we were teenagers and this slander is laughable.

@DiP11s @elimcgowan I mean, he’s calling out behavior that is dangerous-I wouldn’t want a pastor in my congregation having those views and speaking the ways that Eli’s highlighted. These people can’t just get away with their positions of power and hateful views.

@behreowsian @elimcgowan Eli and I have pretty much always disagreed, quite passionately, but I *do* know that his conservatism is not tied to white supremacy and racism, so I’m happy to engage in good faith. Eli does not excuse or encourage Nazis and I can agree with him there, wholeheartedly.
