@garonnevik We have since adopted an adult daughter and son-in-law, added some daughter-in-laws, and granddaughters so now it's some wild time signature... 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9... (could still be reduced to 1, 2, 3 I know)
@garonnevik My in-laws live in Florida, so family time always includes beach trips. I realized there that I was doing this in life, but most quickly and pronounced at the beach. 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3 like some never ending waltz of keeping track of my three young sons in the waves.
@garonnevik@MtnMommaljh I feel like there are so many weirdos ( people who end up offering what feels like snake oil supplements, etc, in addition to therapeutic movement) in the fascia world. Could you point us to a reliable channel or trainer, if you used one from the internet?
@garonnevik@wrowclif My grandma helped me profoundly. When she walked in and I started apologizing for my small children's mess she said, "honey, you have children. It's okay that your house looks like they live here."
@garonnevik I just got a thank you note this morning from a friend with cancer for a meal I brought her family. I gasped at the energy that must have taken and do hope she just wanted to and did not feel an expectation.
@garonnevik Man I love snow and wish I lived where there was more of it!
Also, very healthy approach to kids' sport. There is so much more to be gained than winning, though winning is certainly fun too.
@garonnevik Wow. I feel about this article like your daughter felt about Where the Red Fern Grows. Seen. Understood. Comforted by the (sometimes ugly) truth.
Beautifully written. I'll read it many times and recommend it even more.
