@jdpoc Interesting social experiment. While Arabic numerals are what we all learned in school -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ... -- this still is a lie. It's not his *first* policy or his policy nor *now* required. Not sure I love non-factual statements abt him, even if intended to reveal something.
“When outlets willing to publish abolitionists, public defenders, & survivors vanish, public understanding narrows. Democracy weakens.”
My latest op-ed in The Nation on shuttering Teen Vogue’s politics team—& what it means for truth, justice, & democracy.https://t.co/BuZIWFPcaM
@ScottHech Just read this in The Nation, checked ur bio, ran to X & saw I already follow you. I'm intrigued by Zealous & championing local initiatives. 100% w/ you on Teen Vogue. I created https://t.co/Cw7Zp4Q3wt in 2019 & was in Project Censored in the 90s. It’s all abt independent media
@ZannSuz I remember a night drive to Reno for my son's wedding. It was after work w/ my other kids. So dark & the road was down to 1 lane in each direction due to work -- what I saw was worse than this. I wanted to stop, I wanted to cry, but crying would make it worse. Horrible feeling.
@CasualUK_ Hilarious. She should have just brought the dog in, so he could get a few pets from his pals. I'm pretty sure it would hVe ended faster & easier. Lol.
Unpaywalled is an important initiative aimed at making FOIA based reporting free from paywalls. If you are interested in government transparency, this is something you'll want to get behind.
Thanks to those who joined our webinar about making FOIA-based reporting free, and a special thanks to our panelists: @josephfcox, Katie Drummond, @LaurenLeHarper and @CaitlinVogus.

@FreedomofPress@josephfcox@LaurenLeHarper@CaitlinVogus@WIRED@404mediaco I joined! This is a great initiative! Can you share the links that were in the chat here, too (DM if you prefer)? I was unable to save those resources. Also, can you share the number of participants thst attended? I want to post about it. Thank you for all you do!
@DanielFireTruck Definitely felt very strong. One of the biggest I've felt in SD. I was in SF during the '89 EQ, but I was in the subway, so I just thought it was a train.
@TheLightJoker24 Thank you! Will read after work. I'd only heard abt issues w/ Deray... but just the IDEA someone wld trademark an activists cry -- Black Lives Matter -- just smelled off! It felt capitalistic & predatory. If it's actually subversive, I'm not surprised. Sad, the movement matters!
@Christarchist Hi, You are following me back. I do have my same user name, but never set up my profile. I've replied to posts, but haven't posted. Obviously, haven't really gone over there as a main platform yet, but dipping my toe in & happy to connect with my progressive network there!
