What name has Satan tried to label you with? Unwanted? Unlovely? Unneeded?
Satan is a liar & a thief.
God is the One & only One who has the right to define you. And He says you are chosen. He says you are cherished. He says you are His child, holy & dearly loved.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
Keep going, friends. It can be so tempting to give up or give in. I don’t happen to feel that way today but I’ve certainly been there within the last month. The Lord has promised good to us. He will never lead us anywhere just to abandon us.
Integrity doesn’t have to be loud. Just consistent. Over time, it will tell you everything you need to know about...
A person.
A ministry.
A business.
A legacy.
Lord, give us the grace to have….integrity. 🙏🏽
Forgiveness doesn’t require reconciliation. Sometimes that isn’t possible or safe.
Forgiveness is a decision no one can take away from you. It’s you honoring God. It’s you honoring your healing process. It’s you deciding you’ve suffered enough. It’s empowering and beautiful.
The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible.
The Holy Spirit leads believers.
The Holy Spirit will never lead believers to do something contrary to the Holy Bible.
What I wanted more than anything in the world, wanted with every cell in my body, was for my children to grow up to love Jesus. It was the prayer above all other prayers I prayed for them. I knew if they loved Jesus, they’d return to him when they strayed, they’d endure in their sufferings, they’d sooner or later repent of their sins, they’d ultimately surrender to his will, they’d love his words, love their neighbors and they’d be people of character. The one thing would finally be the everything.
When I say that our children had flawed parents, it’s an understatement. Keith and I will not be holding marriage and family seminars so please look elsewhere for those. But we could hold a seminar on grace. We could hold a seminar on mercy. We could maybe hold a seminar on hope. And we could definitely hold a seminar on what it’s like for your children to turn out better than you did. We are not going to hold a seminar, mind you. I’m just saying we could. Lol.
Anyway, my daughters would be very annoyed with me if I made it sound like they were exemplary. I’m not saying that. I’m just saying that, when I’ve arrived at my last few minutes before seeing the face of Jesus, if I have a coherent mind and a mouth that can speak, I will thank him with everything in me for hearing the most repetitive prayer this former pit dweller prayed for her children.
We are praying for this nation. We're people of the Book, and the Book tells us to pray for our leaders, even if we don't agree with them. And Trump is one of our leaders. He was a president. And Joe Biden is one of our leaders. He is the current sitting president.
There aren’t many things that President Biden does that I agree with, but it is my job to pray for him anyway. And certainly to not bring him harm. I can disagree with him and still honor the office and still honor the person. And certainly not engage in any kind of stupidity like some of the rhetoric that has gone on in the last 48 hours—and really has gone on for the last several years.
Some of you are really too serious about what happens in the White House. If you'd concentrate half as much on what happens in your house, you’d be in a whole lot better shape. That's really the common denominator of success. It hasn't got anything to do with those guys up there.
Yes, they do some things that affect our lives, but I've had several of them try to ruin my life, and they hadn't pulled it off. And I've had several of them try to make my life better, and they haven’t pulled that off. I'm old, and I've seen presidents that were going to be the end of democracy, and they weren't. And I've seen presidents that were going to be the second coming of Jesus, and they were not even close.
I think the problem is that the level of anger has to do with the expectations of what the office can provide. Treat these people like people—they have families, they have children, they have friends. I've got friends who are congressmen, friends who are senators, and the stuff that they have to put up with…
Some of you are just out of control, and you should not spend your money on Financial Peace University—You should spend it on counseling.
Concentrate on fighting for or against ideas. When you have to vilify or destroy a person because you disagree with their idea, you've already lost the argument, because you've lost the high ground. You don't have to destroy people for your idea to win.
