I was DM'd by a 25 year old convinced it was over for them. It's never over. Your life, my life, just began. Every day marriages happen between people who spent years convinced they'd missed their chance. A future partner doesn't exist at the whims of an imagined timeline.
“I want to be loved like I’m unforgettable—held with a kind of care that lingers, wanted with a depth that feels undeniable, and cherished in a way that reaches the quietest parts of me. A love that feels certain and sincere, where my presence matters, my absence is felt, and my heart is valued completely. I want the kind of connection that feels rare and irreplaceable—where being loved doesn’t feel temporary, but like something deeply chosen, deeply treasured, and impossible to replace.”
God is very intentional. Nothing about your life is random. Not the delays, not the detours, not even the waiting. He knows exactly what He's doing. Please learn to trust him more this year.
let love in. believe compliments. be vulnerable and soft-hearted. tell people you love that you love them. see beauty in everyday things. live life like you're in a movie. don't be afraid to begin again.
7 things i’d like to experience atleast once:
a surprise birthday party
"it's you, it's always been you." drunk confession
running into someones arms
01:48 of champagne coast
being in someones wallet
kiss in the rain
The concept of _growing into love_ is so much more intriguing than falling in love. It’s like, on all our good days and bad days, I will choose to love you, I will learn with you, I will live my life with you and we will grow into and with each other through the passage of time.
All roads lead you back to yourself;
the standards you ignored.
the boundaries you softened.
the intuition you doubted.
Life will keep repeating lessons until you listen.
the more scary side of communication, "I was unfair to you, I ignored your feelings, I admit it. I'm not ready to lose you, so I want to fix it, I'm open to change." it takes courage to have this conversation, most people even avoid saying it, but if you don't really want to lose someone, you do it.
The Jaam Podcast addresses men with the mindset that every man who defends a woman wants to sleep with her—after Klay Thompson attacked one of them for defending Megan Thee Stallion:
"It's crazy how you men have made this a thing, it just shows how dumb y'all are"
Women love resting. It’s one of their favorite things to do. Reading, laying under the sun, painting their nails, writing, journaling, taking baths, drinking a cup of tea in silence, sleeping, doing nothing. And there’s nothing wrong with that, they need it for a reason, it’s medicine! ♥️
i believe learning to cook, to read books, to meditate taught me that solitude is not something to survive. it is something to furnish beautifully and then enjoy to the fullest.
