This most recent ruling, along with so many others, is dangerous as shit especially for a guy that says I’ll be your Retribution! A guy that we know has no problems breaking the law was just told how to do it and face no consequences! He can order MURDER without consequence & his attorneys argued this!

Trump has taken over the judiciary, he’s running the legislative branch, & the last move is to get back to the White House. 🤯

The illogic of the Court’s immunity ruling was laid bare in Justice Jackson’s dissent:

“The official-versus-unofficial act distinction seems both arbitrary and irrational, for it suggests that the unofficial criminal acts of a President are the only ones worthy of prosecution. Quite to the contrary, it is when the President commits crimes using his unparalleled official powers that the risks of abuse and autocracy will be most dire.”

The majority opinion critically rules that the Government cannot use evidence of a president's official conduct during a jury trial "to help secure his conviction, even on charges that purport to be based only on his unofficial conduct." They says that "the 'intended effect' of immunity would be defeated."

As such, prosecutors cannot present that evidence to the jury.
