When the original version was too blatant, so you replace it with more subtle, targeted threats (“outsiders”, “handful of teachers”, “move of disrespect.”)
X does illegal act to teach people a lesson for insulting Y, which Y must review as per law.
Y says people misguided (including X) and forgives. Everyone goes happy. And X and Y have a good laugh.
The students of the graduating batch of NALSAR have not resorted to any violence. They have made a representation to their own university. We may agree with them or find it distasteful. However in no way can the Bar Council intimidate them by threatening to stall their enrolment and spoil their career! We have never seen such low depths of the vanguards of the Noble profession of Law!
protesters from bihar really do deserve better than some “bihar is not for beginners” reels only for everyone to abandon them when they are being shot at, detained, and having fir filed against hundreds of them

Sivasagar is the worst-affected district with nearly four lakh people impacted, followed by Charaideo (1.11 lakh) and Jorhat (over 97,000).
a reminder: that many others need our solidarity: Adivasis are still protesting Ken-Betwa Link project, Bhatnagar on hunger strike since more than two weeks now, Farmers are protesting the US-India trade deal as they will loose protections, protests against date centres..
“better late than never”- it’s a mobilisation yes, but political awakening is still a long path to tread. Add in the govt usurping religious identities, being anti caste movements, tribal rights, lgbtqia+ community - these same people will scurry away every so quickly
u didn't inherit these rights by chance. they were earned through marches, protests, prison cells, and sacrifice. every freedom u enjoy today exists bcoz someone before u refused to stay silent and u still believe u're privileged enough to look away while your country suffers!!
Imagine being forced to lie on symbolic funeral pyres just to protect your ancestral land, only to have the state treat you like criminals. The Ken-Betwa project is nothing but systemic violence wrapped in the lie of "development." We stand with the tribal women!
