Today after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year on November 27th, I am headed to the oncologist doctor. Shout out for Doctor Moon, she is great! Need an all clear to get back to life before cancer!

I am back in the classroom and that is great. My week is always filled with three different types of therapy, physical for strength, lymphadema to get rid of fluid, and massage to get rid of the scarring caused by three surgeries.

A little update! Today is a big day for me, I am right weeks out from surgery. I have been working hard to get better.

A little update! I am four weeks out from my double mastectomy. Man did it kick my @ss!😉 However I am now kicking butt! I feel a little stronger with each day that passes.

A little update. I'm feeling a bit better every day. I started building up fluid and see the doctor Tuesday to address it. Progress is constant, and that is a good thing! Thanks for all the love, gets me through this crazy journey!😘

A little update. I'm feeling some pain and still sleeping a lot. Able to stay awake for 30 minutes without drooling. A good day, better than I felt Wednesday night.😉 Progress!! Thank all of you who continue to send good vibes, prayers, and kind gestures. Feeling the love!😘

It is now all about getting the cancer out and moving forward with my original treatment plan when COVID permits. I can not believe my plans for medical treatment have been altered by no fault of my own.

I am forced to change my approach to care for breast cancer. I have to adjust my plan for treatment to fit the hospital's ability, less staff, less operating rooms, and so many other factors that limit my choices.

A little interesting fact regarding COVID: the strain it puts on the medical system influences the options for treatment for patients like me.

The big day is January 06, 2021; it takes a bit of work to get both the general surgeon and the plastic surgeon in the same operating room at the same time. Thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

The latest update! I'm feeling good and hoping to get through next week, with no sub. I seen the plastic surgeon and we are a go. Just waiting for the call to schedule surgery. Thank you for all the love you are sending! I'm feeling it and I will keep you posted. 😘
