@katie_honan I also remember UWS got electricity back before UES. A bunch of us crossed the park to UWS and sat in the frozen food section of a grocery store for hours, then went to the movies for the rest of the day. Damn it was hot that summer. 2/2

@katie_honan At work on 37th/8th Ave. Walked uptown with hundreds of fellow NYers in the middle of the street. Went drinking with friends and random neighbors on some UES stoops. It was so much fun! Bought batteries, flashlight and an extra landline phone on the street. 1/2

These pictures were sent to us of the aftermath of a cannabis shop robbery today on 1st Ave between 78/79. Apparently, someone was thrown through the window. Unclear who.
Also, how are people feeling about these shops popping up on every other block? Near schools etc?
