@KenMastersUSA@RipcordTTV I saw a theory from this youtuber, he said that when Cloud and Aerith are asleep in 1 timeline, they wake up in another. He had this theory about the ending of Rebirth as well that Aerith sleeps/dies and wakes up in another timeline.
@aerithsclouds With everything that these guys are saying. In the same conference, Cody Christian also mentioned that there's a big driving force in FF Revelation when he was referring to Aerith. ๐ค
In an interview with Brazilian outlet Omelete, Naoki Hamaguchi said he has completed the game from start to finish more than 40 times โ and that one particular scene made him cry every single time.
"There's this scene that's quite essential to the story of Final Fantasy VII in which Cloud enters an introspective moment and discovers his identity, and how it fits with Zack and Aerith. I think the way we portrayed that in Revelation turned out really well, and we're excited for fans to see it," said Hamaguchi.
He naturally kept the specifics of the moment under wraps, but didn't hide the emotion it stirred in him: "I've completed Revelation roughly 40 times, and every single time, that introspective scene with Cloud has made me cry," he added.
Fans of the original game already have a good sense of Cloud's origin story and his connections to Zack, but given the narrative divergences that intensified in Rebirth, it's quite possible the new game has a few surprises in store.
