Dutch racer Loek Hartog stopped his Porsche mid-race, grabbed a fire extinguisher and pulled British driver Ollie Millroy from his burning Ferrari during a China GT race in Shanghai.
Millroy survived with five broken ribs, a fractured collarbone and a bruised lung.
@nonlinearnodes@grok@wizardalakazam@FredLambert Lolol grok killed your argument "the core point stands:.. Robotaxis operate under stricter reliability demands where extra sensors can help in edge cases." What a 🤡 hahahahaha. Try one more time maybe you'll be luckier
@ICannot_Enough Are you really that dumb to put absolute numbers on a chart??? I make a prediction for you. The numbers will keep increasing over time!! Great analysis 👍 🤡
Not to be all alarmist or anything, but a) this move in 10yr and 30yr isn’t oil or Iran related, and b) something in financial-world is going to break.
A new mRNA immunotherapy has completely eliminated pancreatic cancer tumors.
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is historically one of the most aggressive and treatment-resistant cancers, often shielded from conventional immunotherapies by a dense, protective tissue barrier.
In a study published in Nature Communications, researchers at UMass Chan Medical School successfully breached this defense in mice using an innovative mRNA-based cocktail. By combining five immune-signaling cytokines with three tumor-associated antigens into a single injectable treatment, the therapy trains the body’s immune cells to recognize and aggressively attack the cancer.
This multiplexed approach marks a major shift, turning “cold” pancreatic tumors into active targets for the immune system. The results have stunned researchers, achieving complete tumor regression in about 50 percent of the treated mice. More impressively, the animals remained entirely disease-free for up to a year after the therapy was stopped, signaling that their immune systems had developed a lasting memory of the cancer cells.
While moving from animal models to human patients is always a major hurdle, the long-term protection achieved in this study makes it one of the most promising candidates for future clinical trials. If successful in humans, this versatile mRNA platform could change treatment strategies for a wide range of aggressive solid tumors.

$ORCL bonds crossing 8.3% for the first time after Larry Ellison used the Enron trick (first time anyone did since Enron) of “Customer Pre-Payments with a Significant Interest Component” to hide Operating Cash Flow Problems.
Notably Oracle also was the first Publicly Listed US company outside of drillers and Miners (or Covid) to use Force Majeur to avoid paying on a data center lease it couldn’t afford, since… you guessed it… Enron.
@niccruzpatane What are you comparing exactly? Just throw some random stats and say Tesla cybercab is 6x more efficient? Oh I see, the statistician's mind🤣🤣
@andmar74@EVCurveFuturist But why did FSD initiate the overtake with no visibility in the first place? That's the question to ask. No sane human would attempt that overtake
A few thoughts after reading hundreds of replies to this.
I love FSD. I’ve driven 10,000+ km using it. But loving a technology doesn’t mean defending every mistake it makes.
We cannot know whether FSD would have aborted here because Troy intervened less than a second after the oncoming car became clearly visible. That’s exactly what a supervising driver should do. At ~100 km/h you don’t gamble your life to prove the software would have saved you.
My concern is what happened before that: FSD initiated the overtake while a substantial part of the opposing lane was occluded.
And “humans make the same mistake” is a terrible defence. Autonomy has to become better than humans, not reproduce our mistakes.
This isn’t theoretical either. Fatal crashes have occurred with Tesla driver-assistance engaged, and NHTSA is actively investigating FSD behaviour including vehicles entering opposing lanes. The public data unfortunately doesn’t give us a clean, reliable FSD-only death total.
Meanwhile, look at what’s happening in China. BYD now offers to cover economic losses from legally liable crashes while its qualifying God’s Eye Urban NOA is being used correctly. That’s a manufacturer putting some financial skin in the game.
XPeng is taking another interesting path. VLA 2.0 Ultra hardware runs 2,250 TOPS, alongside a multi-view predictive world-model architecture designed to model how scenes evolve and what may happen next. Its wider camera viewpoints can also help reduce some of the occlusion problem we’re discussing here.
I own zero Tesla shares and have no plans on buying any. I’m interested in whoever builds the safest and best autonomy, not defending a logo.
FSD is extraordinary technology. It is also supervised for a reason.
We should be able to hold both thoughts in our heads at the same time.
