@OfficialMonstaX Donates 100 Million KRW for Wildfire-Affected Residents

Global child rights NGO Good Neighbors announced on the 27th that group MONSTA X has donated 100 million KRW to residents and children in the wildfire-affected areas of Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk. The donated funds will be used to provide emergency relief items such as daily necessities and school supply kits to affected households, as well as to fund psychological therapy and counseling for children experiencing mental distress due to the disaster.

Good Neighbors has already initiated emergency relief efforts in the wildfire-affected areas of Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk and plans to carry out projects including the provision of emergency relief supplies, support for emergency living expenses, and psychological counseling and therapy for children.

MONSTA X previously donated 100 million KRW to Good Neighbors in 2020 to support low-income households during the COVID-19 crisis. Following that, MONSTA X, together with their fan club “Monbebe,” was registered as a high-donor group member in Good Neighbors’ “The Neighbors Club” and has continuously engaged in charitable activities.

MONSTA X stated, “We joined this charitable effort with the hope of offering even a small amount of help to the residents affected by the wildfires in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk. We hope that the residents who suddenly lost their homes will be able to return to normal life as soon as possible.”

Kim Joong-gon, Secretary General of Good Neighbors, said, “Good Neighbors is doing its utmost to ensure that tangible support, including relief supplies and living expense assistance, reaches the residents suffering from the massive wildfires. We are grateful to MONSTA X for their significant support for local residents and children.”

Meanwhile, Good Neighbors is currently running a fundraising campaign to assist the wildfire-affected areas in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk. The campaign is accessible via the Good Neighbors website, Kakao Together, and Naver Happy Bean platforms. Inquiries regarding corporate and material donations can be made through their main telephone line.
