@TheRoyalStnd78@RDonaldson91 Or not, but that is the point. To not stand because you will lose makes no sense. What is the point of being a political party in the first place?
@TheRoyalStnd78@RDonaldson91 It just seems like he’s quitting because he can see they will not be successful. And also for the reasons you mentioned. He’s a quitter. Just be honest about your real reasons instead of a word salad video.
Again, I’m not a Restore supporter.
@TheRoyalStnd78@RDonaldson91 As someone who doesn’t support Restore, I think you pretty much nailed it with your analysis about this fella and his underlying motivations.
If it’s a time issue, stick with that. No video needed.
If it’s a strategy issue, stick with that.
@MayuranSenthil@RestoreBritain You’ve summarised the dynamics really well. Restore is bound to implode, there’s too much friction. Where you are wrong is point 1 — the threat is exaggerated and often from a place of bigotry. Most Muslims in Muslims countries don’t vote for Islamist parties.
@StroppyBrit@Jordan_MG_ Why exaggerate then if we can all agree even 33k is bad? It serves a purpose and you know it. The truth matters on its own merit.
@benfry78@Jordan_MG_ If even half is atrocious (which is a yes), why lie? Does the truth not matter? In fact the reality is we’re looking at thousands, maybe 10/20/30k victims sadly. 250k is a completely made up lie.
@KonstantinKisin If doing all that will make a leader popular, why is Farage so incredibly unpopular? You’ve got it twisted although I agree Burnham’s unpopularity will go up. Reasons — politics is too fragmented and structural issues are not fixed overnight.
@TessW62@RichardHanania Stop inferring what was never said. Keyboard warriors like you think “we just care about the ethnics who abused these girls, not how society, neglect and classism led to them being abused. Nor do we care about white abuse, just the brown abuse”. I’m consistent, you’re not.
@RichardHanania The offenders deserve the strictest punishment, they are vermin. But the failures were multi-level. Parents/carers, distrust of authority, police, classism (by police and carers). In fact classism was a much more real on a daily level than “racism sensitivites”
@RichardHanania Also worth being aware that 18 of the 20 victims who provided testimony for the report had first been abused by white men closer to home. None of the online warriors are speaking about the system that had failed these young ladies in the first place.
@Europids@RichardHanania What are you on about? Why not rebut my point? These young girls were neglected by their parents, carers and the system. The depraved gangs preyed on them. But let’s look at the totality of the issue to learn all the lessons.
@RichardHanania Well said. The purpose is to exaggerate in order to demonise an entire group, not get to the truth. There were thousands of girls abused and the reality is atrocious enough — why lie and invent figures? Is the truth not important?
