오늘 @EmanAbio 가 AMA 중 한 발언인데 매우 인상 깊었습니다.
유틸리티 토큰 즉, 네트워크 안에서 거래 수수료 지불, 스토리지 펀드 예치, 검증자 보상, 거버넌스 참여 등 실제 사용 목적을 가진 토큰으로 SUI는 트랜잭션 수수료, 스토리지 비용, 검증자 스테이킹, 앱 사용료 지불 등 네트워크 기능 수행하고 있기에 스스로를 순수 투자 자산의 성격보단 네트워크의 가스 그리고 유틸리티로 정의한 모습입니다.

Sui는 기술을 과시적으로 드러내기보다는, 겉으로는 눈에 띄지 않지만 깊이 들어가 보면 핵심에 자리 잡은 숨은 기술로서의 입지를 선호하는 듯합니다.

마치 스마트폰을 떠올리면 수많은 부품사와 기술이 집약되어 있음에도 우리는 그것을 단순히 삼성폰, 애플폰으로 인식하듯, Sui 또한 생태계 속에서 조용히, 그러나 본질적인 기술력으로 존재감을 발휘하는 것처럼요.

Path to internet-less
- SMS를 통한 텔레콤 인프라로 인터넷 없이 트랜잭션 발생 가능. 시연 영상이 있긴 한데 끊어서 찍어서 올리기 좀 그렇네요. 실제로 현장에선 사람들이 다 놀랐습니다.
- 해당 기술이 출시되면 전세계 웹2 사람들이 더 쉽고 편리하게 수이에 액세스 가능하다고 하는데 이 부분은 이해는 되지만 아직은.. 아직은 이르다는 생각을 하게 되었습니다.

Deflationary design
- SUI는 토크노믹스가 디플레이셔너리하게 설계 되었다고 합니다. 디플레이션은 기능이고 버그가 아니라고 하는데요, Sui는 총발행량 고정 + 스토리지 펀드 설계로 네트워크가 커질수록 유통량이 줄어드는 구조를 갖고 있습니다.
- @WalrusProtocol 에서 블롭 데이터를 저장할수록 더 많은 SUI가 스토리지 펀드에 잠기며, 자연스러운 디플레이션 압력이 강화된다고 하는데 그렇기에 Walrus의 앞으로 방향이 매우 중요해보였습니다. 이 부분에 대해서 추후에 다루도록 할게요!
- 그동안 2M개의 SUI가 이미 소각 및 동결로 실제 유통량에서 제거되었고 앞으로 더 많은 이용자로 트잭이 더 많아짐에 따라 유통량이 적어지며 결국 토큰가치는 우상향할 것이라고 합니다.

결국, 크게보면 웹2 매스어댑션 → SUI 수요 증가 → SUI 가치 우상향 이라고 볼 수 있습니다!
