Car theft insurance claims have decreased in every state--except in Victoria, the crime capital of the nation where they INCREASED by 25 percent to total all other states combined. Never a peep out of the government.

@countrytradie7 Yep, but for me it's not about the money - it's saving all those unused kW for my own use (worth 45 cents a kWh) instead of selling into the grid for 1.3 cent.
Been crunchng numbers about getting a solar battery to augment my solar panel system. It makes NO economic sense without the current rebate. It takes 7-8 years to break even with the rebate.
Leaving aside the economcs of the federal budget, what does it show? The politic of envy. Those who haven't assets envy those who do so they have to be lopped down.
@Lisa9Sophia What a typical divisive, distortion of history to suit her left-wing ideology. Aborigines and newest migrants built this city -- no-one in between. And aborigines? Seriously?
Making big decisions has become so much easier with my two consiglieri: Grok and ChaGPT. They do the research. They crunch the numbers. Then they weigh the pros and cons. Then they give me their honest opinion.
@tonytardio It always struck me as absurd that when borrowing for a house you have to also borrow to pay the government stamp duties. The duty was the Victorian government's biggest single source of revenue.
I read that the ABC news director, in charge of all news, who's resigned, has been replaced by a person who was in charge of all ABC regional, rural and metropolitan news. So why are 2 people employed to oversee all news?
What's happened to Victoria? I look at some suburban road repairs or re-constructions taking months and months. I swear I could go out on my own with a shovel and a beer and do them in a couple of days.
@JacintaAllanMP You're talking about the Bolte Hamer Thompson years of Liberal governments. Then came along the Labor years of Cain and Kirner and everything had to be sold off to pay their bill.
@ClimateWarrior7 No explanation? Here's one: 4 months ago it was winter. And where I live, 4 months ago it was summer with temperatures in the 40s C, This week we've dropped to mid teens. It's called The Seasons.
Such a fuss always made when an MP is suspended from parliament for a day. They leave the chamber and sit in their office or whatever. That's it. After question time, almost ALL MPs leave the chamber except those required for a quorum. No big deal.
@daisymay4263 How about doing what you are elected to do under the Australian constitution, that is, represent the state of New South Wales in the senate.
