The NTP damage survey and analysis for the Barrhaven area of Ottawa has wrapped up and it was a complicated one: two tornadoes, with the 2nd crossing the path of the 1st. We still have some analysis to do so lengths/widths are preliminary. Details here: https://t.co/jAFW1JoAk9
Note that the confirmed Mirabel, QC tornado is included with this blog post as well, and that it is Quebec's first documented tornado of the year. A rather quiet tornado season in that province so far. Let's hope it stays that way!

Drove home to #Scarborough from North York after work. Roads are worse in Scarborough and alot more snow here than North York had. Stay safe! #ONstorm#ONwx
Road conditions continue to deteriorate across southern Ontario. Dozens and dozens of collisions, many closures, sudden whiteout conditions. Stay put if you can, travel not advised. Take care out there! #onstorm#onwx#TWNStormCentre

What is a Seiche? When the winds switch direction and intensify quickly water sloshes from one end of the lake to the other. Picture Lake Erie as a giant bath tub and look what's happening now both ends.
Can’t say this strongly enough - this afternoon and evening will be one of the worst driving situations I’ve ever seen for the 401 east of Toronto through Kingston. Anyone on the road should be prepared to be stranded by blizzard conditions. #ONStorm
For those in the GTA, a helpful winter storm timing graphic that breaks down the expected impacts and when they will occur. Be prepared and stay safe. #ONstorm#ONwx https://t.co/nL3KhGSdfk
