✈️ Google announced Flight Deals, their new, AI-powered flight search tool within Google Flights a few days ago in the US, Canada and India, which will end up further establishing it as one of the biggest online search travel players.
This might be something many who don't work in the travel sector don't realize: In the last couple of years, the Google Travel Hub under google(.)com/travel/, allowing to search for flights, hotels and even holiday rentals has been growing so much in the US that:
* It's now attracting almost the same organic search traffic as Kayak and over players like Skyscanner. (data via Ahrefs).
* It's ranking in top positions for queries like "flights", "cheap flights", "plane tickets", among others, attracting top traffic. (data via Similarweb).
* Attracted 965.3K organic search clicks with its main flight page (without filters in) in July in the US, ranking for +5K queries, in an average 5.8 position (data via Similarweb).
Let's keep our eyes open 👀 and see how this impacts its growth as an online travel player. Announcement here: https://t.co/5gHLHrGlNP ... also subscribe to seofomo(.)com to keep updated of search news and releases like this 😉

Dear @Google,
Please improve the AI model in Google Sheets.
You can release an agentic browser and a Gmail robot and glasses that see through walls or whatever, but I need you to put a model in that feels like it was made in 2024 or later.
Xo,
Allie

@JoyanneHawkins@JoyanneHawkins Thanks! One more question, if you don't mind... some footers have addresses in an accordion-style menu. Would you recommend just placing the addresses in the footer?

How dynamic are the SERPs now? Analyzing some top queries for a client and this is what I'm seeing for an important query:
1) They rank in the AIO, but not at the top. Their key competitor ranks #1 in the AIO.
2) My client ranks #2 in the 10-blue links. The competitor is not ranking on page one at all.
3) AI Mode has my client ranking #1 in the initial response. The competitor is not listed.
Tracking: GSC will show #1 for the AIO, #2 if the AIO isn't present, and AI Mode isn't tracked yet in GSC.
Good luck making any sense of this in the short-term, until we get a filter or report for AI Overviews (and hopefully AI Mode when it comes out of labs).
🔑 Today, we’re brushing up on some *key* vocabulary.
“Events,” “key events,” “conversions” — you need to know all three terms if you want to drive customer engagement on your website and @GoogleAds campaigns. https://t.co/ADZrCgs4hg
100 days from now we will kickoff the first NYC SEO Week conference. An event @iPullRankAgency is throwing because NYC has not had enough SEO shows post-pandemic.
The conference will be April 28th to May 2nd and early bird tickets are available right now at https://t.co/GCHHInynkE
There are a lot of things we'll be doing differently than other shows, but for today, I'm going to highlight our venue. The space uses a technology called "projection mapping" where walls are giant continuous screens. SEO Week will be an immersive experience unlike anything I've ever been to for an SEO conference.
More importantly, our speaker lineup is incredible. Here are just some of the legends we've confirmed so far.

We're also partnering with Charlene Kate Events, the team behind the highest production value events in our space, to ensure it all goes off without a hitch.
Much more to come! Get your tickets!
