Today, we recognize both Global #FattyLiverDay and #WorldMASHDay while embracing the updated #liverdisease nomenclature.

AASLD is proud to have helped shape the international consensus that led to the adoption of more accurate, patient-centered terminology. What was once known as #fattyliverdisease is now part of the broader category of steatotic liver disease #SLD, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease #MASLD, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis #MASH.

The updated terminology supports more precise research, diagnosis, and communication in #hepatology.
