Congratulations to @VillawoodEastPS for an EV submission that was precise, on pointe and a great reflection of the processes and practices in place to enable every child to thrive. A school committed to excellence and equity. TY @simon_mulready@jasonmarkconroy@k_rigas
Our office foyer @VillawoodEastPS has some amazing new artwork!
As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations each class, preschool to year 6, designed and created a section of the Rainbow Serpent. When combined the canvases form a stunning whole school artwork!

On the left a school pulling $8.5mil from State & Fed govs every year, sitting on $40mil in assets & undertaking a $14mil expansion. On the right, just 10km down the road, we have Padstow Park PS selling pizzas just to cover costs of an outdoor classroom. #EverySchoolEveryChild
Lismore residents have dumped flood-damaged items outside Kirribilli House in a demonstration targeted at the prime minister after he 'refused to speak to the community'. They say flood relief funding is not enough and want serious action on climate change.
Many teachers I’ve spoken to are frustrated over the talk about schools. It’s not about schools being “opened” vs “closed”. It’s about telling us our work is so critical that we have to go to work even if we’re close contacts, but with no details on additional safety measures.
I still think too many ppl outside of teaching don’t understand concept of having to take work home - practically and psychologically - every day. In a lot of jobs, however late you finish, you finish.
It’s Friday…. We’re all exhausted. I can’t think of too many professions where you have to take your work home and do another day of work in the evening.
I don't care how many PhDs you have, if you haven't taught a reasonably full timetable in a primary or secondary school for at least a couple of years, you cannot claim to be an expert in primary or secondary education.
I’m taking action because every public school student deserves to be taught by a fully qualified teacher who has the time and support to do the job asked of them.
I’ll be striking on 7 December. I’ve been a teacher for 27 years and I’ve never seen things this bad. Teachers are exhausted from ridiculous workloads that only ever increase and salaries that don’t represent what we do #MoreThanThanks
‘The joy of teaching’: Plan to find 3700 new teachers to plug school shortage https://t.co/z9iXtuNt2E It is a privilege to be a teacher. Great to see a plan to attract more to the profession. What about salaries and release time? @nswppa@TeachersFed@NSWPandCFed@smitchellmlc
The National Archives holds more than 40 million items of our collective memory - but it's fast disappearing.
Between funding and staff cuts, its struggling to preserve Australia's history before it disappears - and missed out on vital money in the federal budget. #TheDrum
