@educator4ever36 I’ve seen multiple students whose handwriting is completely illegible. This is their print. They cannot print legibly. These are not students with 504/IEP’s. Whether we teach cursive or not, more emphasis must be placed on legible handwriting.
@jenteach13 Retired teacher here. I had individual desks. The first week or two I would use alphabetical order so I could learn names. After a few days of learning personalities, academic levels, modifications, etc. , I would move them around some to more permanent groups.
@Principal_Jon Before I retired, we were using a “scripted” curriculum. I taught 10th grade ELA honors. That curriculum only covered one novel. I assigned two other novel studies and an independent novel project even though I technically wasn’t “supposed” to do so. It’s all about testing!
