The question should be: if an uneducated person can be this Dharmic, how Dharmic is an educated person today?

Honestly, I don’t see “jitna uneducated, utna religious” as an insult, because it is a statement made out of ajñānatā—a lack of understanding of what Dharma and Shraddha actually mean.

In Sanatan Dharma, श्रद्धा has always been a foundation. Modern education has taught people to measure success largely on a material scale—career, money, status and achievement. And naturally, many educated people begin deriving their satisfaction from these material accomplishments.

But for someone who has never been conditioned to measure life only through these parameters, satisfaction can come from something entirely different—from श्रद्धा, सेवा, तपस्या and devotion to Baba Bholenath.

That is why these Kanwar yatris deserve respect, not ridicule. Walking such distances, enduring physical hardship and doing it purely out of devotion amd feeling happy doing it requires tremendous willpower.

Instead of mocking them for being “less educated,” perhaps the educated should ask themselves whether all their education has given them even a fraction of that श्रद्धा, discipline and devotion.

Education may teach us how to succeed materially, but it does not necessarily teach us where to find meaning or contentment.

May Mahadev give us at least a fraction of the willpower and श्रद्धा these devotees carry.

You don’t seem particularly happy with your own life. Perhaps you don’t have work meaningful enough to give you the feeling that you genuinely matter, so you seek relevance by making statements like these.

And this is something people should understand: following deeply unhappy people can very easily lead you towards an unhappy worldview yourself.

Think about it. This is someone with a master’s in PR from Boston University. Why spend your life doing this? My view is that when people lack something genuinely meaningful to build, they can end up taking money to push other people’s agendas while presenting themselves as the voice of ordinary people and their problems.

Marx is another example worth thinking about. His own life was marked by enormous personal misery, yet generations of people treated his worldview almost as a prescription for society. Many of the societies built around that worldview produced plenty of misery of their own.

Before following someone’s ideology, ask yourself a simple question: does this person’s worldview actually produce a life you would want to live?

Here is a beautiful insight from Bharat’s worldview: we usually think that our actions are bounded by cause and effect—that every action arises from a previous cause and inevitably produces a consequence.

But consider a dream. Within the dream, every event appears to follow its own chain of causality. One event leads to another, people act, consequences unfold, and everything seems governed by fixed laws. Yet the entire dream—including its causes, effects, people and laws—exists only because of the consciousness of the dreamer.

Similarly, at the ordinary level, we are bound by karma and must face the consequences of our actions. But at the highest level, even cause and effect do not exist independently. The entire structure of causality exists within the Absolute Consciousness or the Supreme Will.

The individual appears to exist inside the chain of cause and effect, but the deepest Self is not merely another link in that chain—it is the very ground upon which the chain exists.

This is the depth of Bharat’s worldview: karma governs the individual, but the Absolute is not governed by karma. Even causality exists because the Absolute wills it to exist.

Sir, with utmost respect, it is foolish to equate regulation of foreign funding with an attack on Christianity. FCRA does not prevent anyone from believing in Christ, preaching Christianity or practising their faith; it merely subjects foreign money to Indian law and scrutiny.

If your faith in Christ is so strong, why do you speak as though Christianity cannot survive without foreign-funded missionary networks? God, by your own understanding, is beyond human governments and financial regulations. Christ can reach whoever he wishes, with or without foreign money. Perhaps first separate faith in God from dependence on foreign funding.

Sir, helping the poor is not exploitation. Using their poverty as an opportunity to obtain religious conversion is. Feed someone because they are hungry, educate them because they deserve education, and treat them because they are ill—not because their vulnerability makes them easier to convert.

I am not condemning Christian charity or suggesting that the poor should be neglected in the name of piety. I am questioning assistance accompanied by deception, pressure, inducement or the expectation of conversion. Genuine charity does not make faith the price of dignity.

And whether you call people “scattered sheep” or “slaves to sin,” they are still human beings with their own beliefs and agency—not religious targets to be acquired through material dependence.

What exactly do you have against FCRA? It neither takes over churches nor prohibits Christians from doing charitable work. It regulates foreign contributions and requires organisations receiving them to remain accountable for how that money and the assets created from it are used.

Foreign generosity is not above the laws or sovereign scrutiny of the country receiving it. Regulating foreign funding is not “suppressing charity,” and preventing unaccountable foreign money from being used for proselytisation is not an attack on Christianity. Stop presenting regulation of foreign funds as a takeover of churches and charities.

You want to comment on India's reality, I would say get to know that reality properly first.

Christians giving charity or peacefully preaching their faith does not offend me. What I object to is charity being used as leverage for conversion, especially when poverty, illiteracy or desperation is exploited through inducement, deception or pressure.

Simply hearing about Christianity is not an infringement on anyone’s agency. But presenting material help as evidence of Christ’s power, attaching religious expectations to assistance, or approaching vulnerable people as easier targets certainly can be.

You may sincerely believe that Christ is the Good Shepherd and that everyone is part of his flock. But that is your theological belief. People of other faiths do not necessarily consider themselves “lost sheep” waiting to be brought back. Respecting their agency means recognising their right to reject that description and remain within their own spiritual tradition without being pressured through material dependence.

These people have deteriorated their minds so badly that every time they open their mouths, they speak against the national sentiment. They seem to get some kind of kick out of it, which I will never understand. This is nothing but bad upbringing creating bad dispositions, which eventually result in bad and anti-national speech.
