@realplaya405@makro_art so were many other companies. These aesthetics are lame and played out and appeal to the lowest common denominator redditor funko pops collectors who have no real eye for aesthetics, just nostalgic signals to their stunted inner child
An IOF soldier, Leon Khlebnikov, is currently in the Netherlands as a judge for the European Universities Debating Championship, hosted by Utrecht University.
Back in 2025, while committing genocide in Gaza, Leon uploaded videos of him blowing up a school in Rafah, with the caption: "Well, the school year ended earlier than expected. Urgent, what is the number for The Hague?"
Why does Utrecht University feel it's okay to host people who gloat about blowing up schools and committing war crimes?
The @HindRFoundation and @elsclegal are calling for his arrest. The complicit Dutch authorities have yet to act. If you are outraged by this, there is a protest Friday night at TivoliVredenburg, where the event is hosted, at 6.30pm.

@TheDocSportello Yeah the Demme influence is apparent in close-ups where actors look directly at the camera in Phantom Thread and The Master especially
@_baljot@eleanoir yeah project whatever progressive politics you want on to a movie that asks us to sympathize with the neurotic freak who made the bomb because he had a boner for science and self-mythology
@zaaaarbi only thing wrong with this movie is you need to sort of know a bit about pynchon and his themes/style/atmosphere to fully soak the movie in.
I watched it not knowing anything about Pynchon and liked the texture/era of it, but it wasnt until I knew more that it really clicked
