Got married finally 💕 had a stressful few weeks… job change (back on nights again), lost a friend suddenly and currently going through the process of a parent being sectioned due to mental health.
However, I’ve stayed away from gambling and I’m still plodding along.
After 2 years on nights I’m finally back on day shifts! Weekends, bank holidays and pretty much all of Christmas off too… Never even knew these jobs still existed 😂
Not posted in a long time… but I’m here and still enjoying every second of life.
I hope everyone I’ve crossed passed with during my journey is doing okay!
People MUST realise that gambling is not a ‘male’ only problem,in many ways the stigma attached to women having an issue is far worse. An ambition of my book is to show ‘lifetags’ don’t matter-it doesn’t discriminate. https://t.co/XPmS9t0Znl 👏 brave women who have spoken up 👊
2022 is going to be one of the best years I’ve had in a long time. Gambling addiction does ruin your life but it can get better, you just have to get the right help.
By the end of this year I will be married, have my own place and will have finished my suspended sentence.
@jade_vallis As long as the Gambling Commission see these logs and that the staff are interacting in anyway that’s all they care about. Think I was told you need to have at least one interaction in the log each day. When in reality you’d have several interactions. Chasing losses, anger etc…
@jade_vallis AGC’s are really bad for this stuff. Staff are taught about Social Responsibility but you’re then repeatedly asked to break the rules in order to keep ‘valuable’ customers. The Gambling Commission only care about paperwork.
@jade_vallis Staff will have 10-20 interactions with a customer due to gambling addictive behaviour but only 2-3 of these interactions will be documented because any more than that they have to basically push self exclusion/ban.
@Rule_ette_Out Probation are helping it’s just a waiting game, I have agency work for now until at least January so I have time 😊 I’ll get there eventually
@Adrianhoward21@lou_loubycook There was non available in my area, tends to be that there’s not very many jobs going. People tend to stick around because it seems like a pretty good company 😂 I sent my details so they can contact about future jobs
@lou_loubycook The best of it is they sent the contract (because I’d asked) and it mentioned that any criminal conviction means termination of contract without notice. But they never asked about current unspent convictions at the interview. 🤷🏻♀️
Worst interview from myself EVER. Really out of practice and having a criminal record just completely throws me! I never know what to stay and end up stumbling over my own words… maybe next time.
@NadineAshworth The anonymous part is to protect the individual going to the meeting, not GA Charity/Company? So if that individual is asking for proof of their own attendance for their own solicitor surely that’s okay?
