To aspiring comperes who aspire to the finer end of the profession, those who desire to service more sophisticated audiences and discerning clientele. Be clean on stage. Keep it short. Keep it simple. Keep it elegant. Always remember that it is not your show. It is not about you. You are the conduit. You are the host. And hosts, by definition, are modest, gracious, measured, pleasurable and humble. Oh and you MUST value education and ongoing education and you must be well-read. Sophisticated audiences have no appetite for gimmicks and cheap theatrics.
