@Rainmaker1973 I grew up in this province of South Africa, jacarandas would bloom towards the end of the year, just when the school year was coming to a close and exams were being written. They would say that studying under a jacaranda bought good luck if a purple flower fell on your head!

@nevergiveup072 @Rainmaker1973 I lived in South Africa for 37 years. While it is home to the Kalahari Desert, SA has many climatic zones. Many homes and public places in major cities are lush and packed with beautiful vegetation that grows all year round.

I still have a hand addressed envelope and “BSWJBJ” card with her handwriting from the early 90s when she ran the club.

Thoughts are with her family.
