Billy Hirsch

I run @CruiseHabit / Disney nut, cruise fiend, tech geek, and kinda snarky.

@derekburgan @theRCLblog @Hockeyman55 I think that often, cabin location matters more or less depending on your schedule. For example, as someone who goes to sleep and wakes up later, being next to a nightclub doesn't bother us. Not sure if I've had anything below WJ on an RCI ship.

@NPRone @nprandroid Given the sunsetting of NPR One, can we expect Android Automotive support for the NPR app?

The moon tonight, as seen from Boca Raton, FL.

Low in the sky and orange in color. "Hunter's Moon"

@8bit_Snazzy @DEADLINE I'm not sure how this will pan out, but I'm very overdue for a Figment tattoo...which everyone will now attribute to the movie.

When I ask for whole wheat (pasta, pizza dough, etc) I'm often offered gluten-free as well (or an alternative, if they don't have whole wheat. Aren't those complete opposites?

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

@LastWeekTonight Want to make a super clip of a local broadcaster continuously mentioning his love of pinball machines as a cat 4 hurricane lands in his neighborhood? Check out Eric Stone at KFLA today. He does like pinball machines... 🤷

Sometimes I think about being in Epcot, and then I get sad because I can no longer see The Spirit of Norway while there.

I get more sad when I remember I'm the only one who feels this way.

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

I made a video a while back that I thought was pretty well done, but YouTube viewers and/or the algorithm clearly thinks differently. If anyone is bored (cruise folks or other friends) and has feedback lemme know. https://t.co/iV9JPPDDJV

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

I know not everyone likes that we can stay connected when on cruises or abroad. As I get ready for another trip, however, I love not having to worry about bills that may be due while away or other preparation that used to be a requesite part of travel.

@MonosnapMike Used Monosnap on a PC for a while but suffered some memory leak issues. Thinking about trying it out on my M1 Mac. Anything to know about that build? Also, would love to see a plan that doesn't include storage (loading to Google Drive works well enough IMHO).

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

@TechConnectify Does anyone still use thermal relays for turn signals? Makes me wonder if/when those parts will become the 35mm film of auto parts, with one manufacturer making all of them.

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

@TheTweetOfJab Looked for you on Twitter to find out how I could contribute. Happy to see you have a GFM account set up. You're doing the Flying Spaghetti Monster's work here. Thank you.

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

@devstorm Does DCommander show mp3 and wave track lengths as a column? Tried installing the check but immediately thanks me for trying so I'm not able to play around. Happy to pay for this feature.

I'm a small ship person sailing on the worlds largest cruise ship, and I have a confession... https://t.co/XkLPwA7lXR #cruise #cruiseship #royalcaribbean #wonderoftheseas #travel

[CruiseHabit @CruiseHabit]

Three differences we noticed right away on Wonder of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship.

Toffee was invented by a dentist. I'm sure of it.

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

I'm sure you work hard on the show @iamjohnoliver, but with all that time off have you ever considered a rename to "Last Quarter Tonight"?

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

My favorite holidays are the days after chocolate-gifting holidays. 50% off FTW.

[Billy Hirsch @monorailmedic]

I just asked my Google home device how large the SS Norway was, and the response started, "1037 feet. On the website https://t.co/UYS7Bm5Z3p..."

Feelin' pretty good about myself, while simultaneously realizing I'm using my own website to make up for my poor memory.

Sixty-two years ago today, four students from North Carolina A&T started the sit-in movement at a Woolworth's lunch counter. They made this country better.
