@artics001@YannConqueror So far it's all pure speculation, but people are talking about everything from deep space overhauls to entirely new solar system types. Until Wednesday, though, it all remains a big mystery.
By all accounts, tomorrow #NoMansSkyCosmos will finally be upon us! Don't forget to back up your saves, leave your character in a space station or the Anomaly/Nexus, and avoid jumping into Permadeath on day one. That said, happy updating, everyone! #NoMansSky
@Helldiver107 If you head over to the official No Man's Sky website (https://t.co/TqIlEyWckF), you can access the Cross-Save area, where you can make cloud saves and use them as backups. @oskar1up actually made a video yesterday explaining how it works!
@StoneyBoi97 Couldn't agree more. NMS has been a part of my life for so long I barely remember life before it. Even 10 years in, every single journey feels completely unique.
@IAmDanielFord At this point, anything is possible, especially after the swarm of glass that attacked the universe in the last expedition, so that's definitely a possibility. Personally, I'm leaning more towards space improvements, but everything is still pretty foggy.
Seeing a lot of theories about the 🍸 emoji hinting at new Cosmos mechanics, but I honestly think a cosmopolitan emoji is just a reference to the title—same way 🍊 was Origins and 🥓 was Beacon. What’s your take? #NoMansSky#NoMansSkyCosmos#NMS
@Lefto86Ps4 It's awesome seeing the community speculate and try to guess what's coming, but I think it's important to keep expectations in check. Hyping up things that are hard to predict can easily lead to disappointment.
@Orthodavec Exactly, Sean loves connecting the emojis to the update titles. I think they want to keep tight-lipped on Cosmos to save the big surprises for launch day!
@Kuro_Neko_Sama I'd love big cities in No Man's Sky, but when it comes to Cosmos, I can only picture them in space or inside space stations. I hope I'm wrong because it's something I really want to see, but I don't think Cosmos will be directly related to cities."
NMS looks great with DLSS, but it feels like it's moving away from its original 80s sci-fi book cover vibe. Do you think adding more realism and higher resolution would be a good path forward? #NoMansSky
It would probably fall to me to implement DLSS 5 in No Man’s Sky, since I coded our DLSS support.
But adopting it isn’t really a technology decision — it’s much more an art-direction choice.
So.. the question isn’t whether we can do it. It’s whether it enhances the image, or starts to subtract from No Man’s Sky’s own unique look and feel.
Even bathed in the light of twin suns, this world remains in eternal and freezing darkness, until a towering figure emerges on the horizon, stealing the silence that permeates here. #NoMansSky
@jayfaker The hype is real! Given how long it's taking, everything points to this being a massive update. Really hoping we still get Cosmos this month!"
When do you think we’ll be exploring the next phase of #NoMansSky? Personally, I’m betting on the 2nd, but it all depends on whether we get an emoji by Monday. #NoMansSkyCosmos
