This doesn't just put artists at risk, it puts every Twitter user at risk. Anyone can use AI to edit images of real people posted on this platform, simply a family photo, PAST OR PRESENT. Why is this enabled by default without any consent of the people who shared those images?
If genAI really is the future then let people who don't want to participate die with the past instead of shoving it at everyone's face what the fuck. You know this shit is ass that's why they're trying to inflate the importance of this piece of shit.
Not only does this fuck over artists, cosplayers, anyone sharing pics, etc...
But right now, in the midst of the biggest cover-up of all time, this will spread misinformation to the likes we've never seen.
> It's on purpose <
You figure with how much "curing cancer", "ending climate change", "ending poverty" is used to advertise AI, we'd be getting news like "[AI company] starts new cancer research initiative." Instead it's "we're all making missiles now, also the internet is worse"
