@LDureve@serenityoflife You gotta find something unique to mock, it’s as cliche as Paris burning (again). I at least found another example of a city (Limoges) y’all are burning in the prior tweet.
@LDureve@serenityoflife You spent twenty years and countless francs drenching Europe in blood only have less relative power after the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars and still have a king, the French would know pointless, it was half of their foreign policy for a past few centuries.
@gatocabron49@JonasKahnw63249@frenchdemon666@justhereforvt Baseball is popular in East Asia and Latin America, Football is popular in Canada, semi popular in Britain, and gaining popularity in Europe, also like you said basketball is popular across the world. Britain invented soccer and cricket, France hasn’t invented a popular sport.
@Parisiendu955@JonasKahnw63249@frenchdemon666@justhereforvt No, but I think it’s pretty funny to use a nation that routed you to attempt to dunk on a nation that fought them later. I feel like France and China are the only nations that have no room to make Vietnam comments.
@thibz00@87646549d@justhereforvt And what exactly was gained from it by France. France spent 20 years (around 12 under Napoleon) at war with the rest of Europe, grinded down its population (it had a similar population to Russia in the early 1800s), had less relative power after Waterloo than before the Bastille.
@Parisiendu955@JonasKahnw63249@frenchdemon666@justhereforvt Also yes, we were a decisive factor in the allies winning both world wars, you were important in the first one (Miracle On The Marne), but didn’t help much (the Allies that is) in second one.
@Parisiendu955@JonasKahnw63249@frenchdemon666@justhereforvt Japan, Korea, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, amongst several others like baseball. Canadians and the occasional Brit like football. Basketball is popular across the world and the best players almost always go to the NBA, even if you hate football for some incomprehensible reason.
@Parisiendu955@JonasKahnw63249@frenchdemon666@justhereforvt Talking about the other sports because Americans have invented several sports that have multinational appeal (as has Britain), but France has not and you’re saying that France is involved enough in tournament making that it counts as close enough.
