Il y a seize ans, j’ai pris une position claire en France : le port du voile intégral n’est pas prescrit par le Coran. Ce n’est en aucun cas une obligation religieuse. J’étais alors le seul imam en France à affirmer publiquement cette vérité et à m’opposer à cette pratique.
Cette prise de position a tout changé. J’ai reçu des menaces de mort à l’échelle internationale, mais aussi en France. Une partie de la communauté musulmane a considéré mon discours comme une attaque contre l’islam et le monde musulman. Ceux qui n’étaient pas directement concernés ont préféré détourner le regard, estimant que cela ne les regardait pas et n’aurait aucun impact sur leur vie. De mon côté, j’ai essuyé des fatwas et des menaces de la part des islamistes.
Aujourd’hui, je me réjouis que l’on commence enfin à ouvrir les yeux sur ce problème. Le Portugal vient de prendre la décision d’interdire le port du voile intégral. C’est exactement ce que j’expliquais et contre quoi j’alertais il y a plus de quinze ans.
Le voile intégral n’est pas seulement porté et promu par le salafisme. Il est également défendu et instrumentalisé par les Frères musulmans. Je l’ai constaté moi-même.
La France a été en avance sur ce sujet. Aujourd’hui, le Portugal la rejoint. Voilà ce que j’ai toujours défendu, et ce que je continue de défendre avec la même détermination : pour protéger la République, pour protéger les familles, pour protéger l’islam et les musulmans contre ceux qui veulent les enfermer dans le radicalisme.
Cette prise de position m’a coûté cher. Elle a aggravé les menaces qui pèsent sur moi. Mais je ne regrette rien.

Mi hijo de 19 años que desde los 6 años practica taekwondo.
Se llama Tiago Farias,mientras otros duermen, él entrena.
Mientras otros disfrutan, él se sacrifica.
Mientras estudia Contador Público y da clases a niños, sigue soñando con tratar de dejar la bandera argentina en lo más alto. Ya es 6 veces Campeón Nacional, 3 veces Sudamericano, Campeón del Mundo y subió al podio en el último Mundial.
Y ahora tiene una nueva oportunidad: la Copa del Mundo 2026 en España. Pero en el deporte amateur, los sueños no se pagan solos.
Todos los gastos corren por su cuenta. Hasta ahora siempre fue la gente común, la de a pie, la que tiene el corazón grande, la que lo ayudó a seguir.
Hoy volvemos a pedirles difusión para que le llegue a la empresa o persona que pueda hacerlo posible.

This painting shows the exact moment a man realizes he has just killed his own son, and that nothing he does for the rest of his life can undo it...

It is Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan, painted by Ilya Repin in 1885, and it captures a single instant from the year 1581. Ivan, the first Tsar of Russia, a man prone to violent fits of rage, had struck his own son in the head with his staff, in one of the furies that gripped him more often as he aged.

Repin does not paint the blow. Instead, he paints the second in which a father sees what he has done and understands that it is final.

Look at his eyes. They are wide, bulging, wild with a horror that has no bottom. In an instant his anger has drained away completely, and left behind only the unbearable truth: the person dying in his arms is his own child, and he is the one who killed him. He clutches the boy to his chest, one hand pressed uselessly to the wound, trying to hold the blood inside a body that is already slipping away.

And now look at the son. There is no anger in his face. His expression is soft, almost peaceful, and a single tear runs down his cheek. His hand gently touches the father who has just murdered him, not in a struggle, but in something that looks unbearably like forgiveness. He is dying, and in his last moments he is comforting the man who did this to him.

That contrast is what makes the painting so devastating. One face is pure damnation, the other pure grace...

Repin painted it as a cry against violence, against the blind rage that can destroy everything we love in the space of a single second. He had watched his own country tearing itself apart with political murder, and of the period in which he made it, he said:

"A trail of blood ran through that year."

He was describing an empire. But the horror he depicted is the oldest terror there is: the irreversible moment. The word said that can never be unsaid. The blow that cannot be taken back.

All of us have felt some small version of it, the instant when we realize we have hurt someone we love and there is no way to undo it. Repin took that feeling to its absolute extreme and gave it a face, so that we might look at it and think twice before we let our own anger take something from us that we can never get back...
