Apoorva (@BilingualWindow) and I are excited to share https://t.co/rrEcnhAIUg -a database that locates the literary landscape of India and South Asia. This website is for those who are interested in using fiction to teach and learn about the urban - cities, towns, and beyond.
Vegetarianism is a choice, much like meat-eating. But the moment you use it as an indicator of ‘purity’, deeming meat-eating as impure/dirty and utensils used to cook it as untouchable, you enter the dark realm of casteist thought.
Eat what you want. Don’t discriminate.
Attention Street Design Nerds! One of the most intriguing cities in recent years at reconsidering streets for people instead of just for cars, Oslo Norway, has translated their Street Design Manual into English and put it on-line. Worth digging into. #Oslo

A humpback dolphin at the @mybmcCoastalRd construction site in Worli. While it's easy to call this resilience, it shows just how invisible the city's marine life and the sea have been in policy making & environmental discussions.

This horrific accident was a disaster waiting to happen
Prayers and condolences for the victims of the #OdishaTrainAccident.

A lot of the labour from the unorganised sector comes from these states, #Odisha, #Bihar and #WestBengal. Our construction labourers, drivers, plumbers, house helps, nannies, their services power our cities. They were going home for festivities and weddings.

With my grandpa passing away, its the end of an era. He had a long, meaningful, selfless and a celebrated life with 4 children, 6 grand children and 7 great grand children.
Rest in peace Ojja. Holding close all your fondest memories. @pretpat
The Indian Heat Action Plan needs to be integrated with urban planning. Planning needs to be climate contextual. Prioritise shade. Create possibilities for buildings to shade streets and those streets should be made available to everyone and everything . https://t.co/V6FWZujeaO

1/19 Did you know Bengaluru has a diverse collection of trees that bloom all year? When the city was planned aeons ago, the trees were chosen in such a way that when one tree ceased blooming, another tree took its place. Bengaluru's seasons are a floral symphony.
I have intensively made intricate model making in my architecture training but nothing prepares you, for the skill that requires to cut/clip finger & toe nails of a few months old twin babies. So that makes it total of 40 nails.
God give me strength!
My #MothersDay is today.
