Being a fan SHOULD NOT feel like a job.

Yes, of course, do what you can, but it’s the way some people demand engagement otherwise “you aren’t a real fan” or “you aren’t doing enough” that can be really exhausting.

My love for an artist should solely be based on my love for them, not how much I can promote them.

And this is coming from someone who IS regularly online to post and engage with as much as I can. But I have that free time and I do this willingly. I’d never shame people who can’t do that (or even those who simply don’t want to).

Let’s try to keep everything positive and light. I’d hate for people to feel exhausted or tired from being a fan.

🍼: I admit that I’m starting to feel confused and unsure about how to express my feelings and perspectives going forward. Whenever I speak based on my own experiences, some people perceive it as me defending the company or assume that those thoughts aren’t truly my own.

I want to clarify that I haven’t been gaslit into saying anything. I am speaking from my own work experiences and conversations with friends from various companies; no one has forced or coached me to say any of this.

However, that doesn’t mean I think everything is perfect or that I ignore the feedback fans provide. I agree with many of the points that have been raised, and I have discussed them with the relevant parties through the proper channels. If something isn’t right or if I feel that the support isn’t sufficient, I’m not afraid to speak up. My decision to explain things now doesn’t mean that I fail to see or understand everyone’s feelings.

Regarding the series, I was simply sharing the context I was aware of, such as the fact that the project had zero sponsors. That is a reality we have to accept; costs and business constraints mean that every project operates under different conditions. I didn’t mention this to make fans feel guilty or obligated to take responsibility, these aren’t things fans should have to worry about. I only wanted to offer another perspective to foster better understanding, not to invalidate anyone’s feelings.

If the way I communicated caused anyone distress, made you feel unheard, or escalated the situation in a way that negatively affected others, I sincerely apologize. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me; I simply want my perspective to be heard as an expression of my own feelings, just as I have always tried to listen to and understand yours.

What stresses me out the most is that I simply want to continue talking to and sharing my feelings with the fans I love, just as I always have. Right now, I might still be unsure of how to communicate without hurting anyone’s feelings. I will try to learn and be more careful. I apologize, and I thank everyone for listening to me.
