Sainz fue más rápido que Leclerc, dicen los números. Y Ferrari no supo leer un muy evidente undercut a Piastri que les privó del 🏆

En las primeras vueltas (desde la 5, post SC, hasta la 17 que para LEC) LEC es sólo 0.813s más rápido que SAI. En el 2º stint con medios (v. 20 a 33) son iguales: SAI apenas 0,256s más rápido en el acumulado, pero ruedan juntos y SAI no va más rápido porque no tendría sentido entrar en el aire sucio de LEC (o eso parece por la cantidad de goma que tenía).

SAI pierde casi 4 segundos contra LEC por parar cuatro vueltas más tarde antes del último stint. Desde que sale (v.40) hasta la 53 (final) Carlos le saca 7,5 segundos en total, a pesar de tener más tráfico y estar en luchas.

En las vueltas que ruedan en igualdad de gomas tras la primera parada, SAI es más rápido en el 65% de las vueltas. No es increíblemente superior, sólo ligeramente más rápido, pero definitivamente es lo suficientemente más rápido como para haber recortado los 2,5 segundos que había entre LEC y PIA tras la segunda parada.

Y si Ferrari hubiera hecho undercut a McLaren, ya no hay ninguna discusión. SAI para en vueltas 18 y 38, mientras PIA en 13 y 35. Cinco vueltas tarde en la primera, tres vueltas tarde en la segunda. Se entiende menos aún cuando LEC hace la segunda parada en la v.34.

No estoy a favor de beneficiar a SAI ciegamente, pero hoy Ferrari sólo podía conseguir un podio con SAI. El primer culpable es él por haber hecho una mala clasificación, pero Ferrari sigue sin saber hacer una estrategia ganadora.

@TSlafer @CarmineF2 you don't consider that leclerc was managing because degradation was high. that's how they managed to extend the stints. you are delusional if you think sainz was faster he was in a different race. the mistake was his when he chose to stay out instead of pitting.

it's funny how sainz only remembers he has a teammate when he finishes behind him. i wonder if people would like him better if leclerc was a little bit more selfish. he just makes him look ten times worse....i know who's the real pr strategist here and he isn't from spain
