I set out with the Syrian Family on the first “Syrian Narratives” journey to #Aleppo.
Not for tourism but to meet people who lived through years of war, displacement, & crimes of the former regime & to hear stories of resilience, hope, & survival.
During my visit to #Raqqa, I was pleased to meet Governor Abdulrahman Salama. We discussed @StabUnit ongoing activities in the governorate and explored opportunities to expand our work in the coming period to better support local communities and stabilization efforts.
Pleased to sign a cooperation agreement between @StabUnit & Aleppo Governorate to support cultural development & adult education, including literacy programs.
Investing in education & capacity building is essential to strengthening development & stability.

I participated as a panelist at the opening of @Chemonics International's office in Damascus. I highlighted the importance of community-led early recovery in Syria, stressing that lasting impact depends on aligning national & international efforts with local priorities.
We visited Al-Shuyoukh subdistrict with the Kobani Area Administration to review progress on the newly launched street lighting project and discuss preparations for the upcoming services project.
Both projects are implemented by (SSU) & funded by Rashad Program & Furat Program.
